2021 Round Up – Top Ten Hair Moments That Stole The Show

With 2021 coming to a close, it’s time to take a walk down memory lane and review our top ten hair moments from the past year. Inching our way towards a new “normal,” the red carpet was rolled out once again this year, and we were given the pleasure of admiring the beauties who graced us during some of fashion’s biggest nights out. With the Met Gala back on, and award shows happening in person (sorry Zoom, we still love you), we finally got to see our favorite celebrities and socialites rock bold hair and makeup styles.

Without further ado, here are our top 10 Hair Moments that stole the show this past year:

10. Lily Collins at the 2021 Golden Globe AwardsLily Collins

At spot #10, we have Lily Collins. The Emily in Paris star showcased that old Hollywood glam still deserves a seat at the table – with a dramatic side part and soft curls showing off her beautiful side profile. While she may not have won an award, she won our vote for the best look of the night.

9. Venus Williams at the 2021 Met Gala

Venus Williams

At spot #9, we have Venus Williams with a bubble bun up-do. She may be famous for her tennis career, but she was also serving us with some serious looks, at this year’s Met Gala.

8. Chiara Ferragni at the 2021 Cannes Film FestivalChiara Ferragni

Coming in hot at spot #8, Chiara Ferragni showed Gen Z that she is still up-to-date on all the latest fashion and style trends. The 34-year-old Italian blogger and fashion influencer (not to mention breathtakingly beautiful model), rocked face-framing mini braids – the hottest hairstyle trend of the summer, that was sweeping the nation via TikTok and Instagram reels.

7. Dua Lipa at The 63rd Annual Grammy AwardsDua Lip at Grammys

At spot #7 we have one of this year’s hottest global pop sensations, Dua Lipa. Not only did she sweep the night with six Grammy wins, including song, record, and album of the year, but she also demonstrated that a sleek, yet simple, glossy straight hair ‘do can elevate any outfit.

6. Kristen Stewart at the 2021 Met GalaKristen Stewart

At spot #6 we have Kristen Stewart. Stewart took us back in time with this bumper bang ponytail, channeling her inner “pin-up” girl with this vintage hairstyle.

5. Megan Fox at the 2021 Met GalaMegan Fox

Next on the list at spot #5, we have this year’s “it-girl,” Megan Fox. Fox has been making waves this year with her new beau Machine Gun Kelly, but we’re into her amazing style. Making a departure from her usual go-to – a classic long beach wave, Fox shook things up with a “bangin” long braid for fashion’s biggest night out.

4. Zendaya at The Dune PremierZendaya

While she didn’t attend this year’s Met Gala, Zendaya still owned the red carpet at the Dune Premier, landing her the #4 spot on our list. Embracing her natural curls, Zendaya showed us that a little bit of texture and a lot of volume can dominate any red carpet.

3. Bella Hadid at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival

Leading us into our top three picks, Bella Hadid takes the bronze at spot #3. While everyone else’s eyes went to Bella’s necklace, our attention was drawn to her unique up-do and soft glam.

2. Yara Shahidi at The 2021 Met Gala

Yara Shahidi

Coming in our #2 spot we have Yara Shahidi. The young actress and activist embraced her natural hair texture, with a beautiful and detailed braided crown. With a nod to Old Hollywood headpieces, Shahidi looked glamorous and elegant.

1. Megan Fox at the 2021 VMAs

Megan Fox VMAs

Without a doubt- the winner for our favorite hair moment of the year goes to Megan Fox at the 2021 VMAs. Channeling Kim Kardashian’s iconic 2019 Met Gala look, Megan added her own spin to the wet hair trend – and can we talk about that dress? Megan dropped jaws around the world with this sexy red carpet glam – and we are so here for it.

Huge cheers to all the amazing women and men who strutted their stuff on the red carpet this year. May next year bring on even more inspiring talent, incredible entertainment, and gorgeous fashion for all! We can’t wait to see what trends the new year will bring.
