NYFW – Our Top 5 Makeup Trends

Once upon a time in New York City, all the fashionistas, glam squads, and supermodels came out to play. While the fashion trends prepared us all for Autumn/Winter, we were admiring the makeup we can achieve today! Scroll down to see the glamorous and bold gems we will be rocking all year round.

Heavy metals

Tom Ford won our hearts this year with smokey metallics! Blend rose golds, bronze, chrome, and black metallic shades to get a blended out lived in look. Don’t forget fluffy full brows to really make a statement!

Nude lips are out, bold lips are in

Nude lips are not technically out, but for A/W 2020, it’s definitely go bright or go home! Marc Jacobs brought back the effortlessly chic red lip while Christian Siriano went for a purple pink. Try a subtle smokey eye or monochrome nude look to compliment your daring lip shade.

Colorblocking and Monochrome Eyes

If eyeshadow palettes and all the blending is super tedious, be bold and opt for one color and only color only! Between Monse and Tadashi Shoji, we can’t decide which vibe we love more! Monochrome eyelids will set you apart showing off intense color while pairing perfectly with a glowy moisturized base.

Classic Femme

As you may have guessed, the 90s are back and in full force for Fashion Week! Brandon Maxwell’s runway dawned the perfect makeup that can take anyone from daytime boss to nighttime babe. Lightly lined with a spicy nude lip liner and a peachy blush, we are getting the classic ’90s supermodel staple look.

Vamp it up

Dark and vampy is a mood! Our most sought after look for A/W 2020. Rodarte absolutely slayed this years runway with gothy floral garments while Laquan Smith brought 90’s R&B girl group grudge to life. Spring hasn’t even sprung but we are already craving darker looks to contrast our lace and leather.

No matter the season, playing around with new looks to match your outfit and mood is key!
